WE SHALL FIGHT UNTIL WE WIN (404 Ink / BHP)

In 1918, the first wave of women gained the right to vote in the UK. 100 years on, we celebrate the women who fought for equality, the trailblazers, political firsts, and those who continue the fight today. Many of these women’s stories are well-known, others less so, all worthy of note.

WE SHALL FIGHT UNTIL WE WIN brings together an incredible mix of creators, writers and artists to showcase these stories in powerful snapshots. Read of suffragettes Emmeline Pankhurst and Sophia Duleep Singh, strike leader Jayaben Desai, lesbian rights activist Jackie Forster, the first black woman to hold a seat in the House of Commons Diane Abbott, and many more through to the present day. Hear of the women also excluded from the suffrage movement, and often, unfortunately, from history.

WE SHALL FIGHT UNTIL WE WIN celebrates and educates how far we’ve come, and laments on where there is still to go. Learn the history of a movement still blazing in the 21st century through this celebration of a century of political pioneering women.
